No matter what color your collar, all jobs come with their share of stresses. From dealing with cranky customers, long office hours, mind-numbing stacks of paper-work or sweaty toiling in the hot sun, the precarious balance between life inside and outside of the occupational zone can leave many feeling like braindead rats in a maze. However, a new Medscape report shows that of working professionals in the United States, Physicians show significantly more "at risk" signs for getting burned out in their field than others. Before the Medscape study, extensive research has been conducted on the phenomenon formally known as "physician burnout," but no National study had been conducted among U.S. physicians and then evaluated by their specialty.
